3D modeling reconstruction of a old portal using non-conventional laser scanner system

Description The proposal is focused on the 3D model reconstruction ( for 3D printing) of a portal and its decorations in a church in Turin, through the use of non-conventional laser scanner systems (mobile, pedestrian systems) and structured light systems. The aim of the thesis is to reconstruct the 3D models, compare the results obtained and compare the models of the various portals. In addition, the model will be finalized for 3D printing, in order to replace some missing parts in the portal under analysis. Starting from the data processing carried out in the Geomatica and DrawingTothefuture laboratories, the student will develop the 3D model,a model comparisons and prepare a prototype for 3D printing.
