Description IN THE FRAMEWORK OF AN EUROPEAN PROJECT FOR THE TRACEABILITY OF HIGH CAPACITY FORCE MEASUREMENTS (>1 MN), A NEW 5 MN HEXAPOD MULTICOMPONENT DYNAMOMETER HAS BEEN DEVELOPED AT INRIM. AFTER A PRELIMINARY THEORETICAL ANALYSIS OF THE METROLOGICAL SPECIFICATIONS CARRIED OUT ON THE BASIS OF THE DESIGN, THE SUBJECT OF THE THESIS WILL BE FOCUSED ON THE METROLOGICAL CHARACTERIZATION OF THE PROTOTYPE OF THE BASIS OF SPECIFIC MEASUREMENTS AND TESTS, WHETHER ON THE BASE OF SIMULATION OF ITS PERFORMANCES UNDER LOAD. GOALS ARE THEREFORE THE VERIFICATION OF THE THEORETICAL PERFORMANCES, THE METROLOGICAL CHARACTERIZATION OF THE PROTOTYPE AND THE IDENTIFICATION OF THE CRITICAL PARAMETERS THAT MAY BE MODIFIED IN ORDER TO IMPROVE METROLOGICAL CHARACTERISTICS.

IN ADDITION, IN THE FRAMEWORK OF THE EUROPEAN PROJECT, RESEARCH GRANTS ARE EXPECTED FOR THE CONTINUATION OF THE ACTIVITY
