Descrizione Vehicle electrification covers different powertrain architectures: from pure electric (Battery Electric Vehicle - BEV) to different configurations of hybridization without plug-in (Hybrid Electric Vehicle - HEV) or with plug-in (Plug-in HEV - PHEV).

Whatever architecture, the integrated handling of power for traction (including regenerative braking) and energy for range (including re-charge) is better achieved with a centralized management and control in order to have a single unit to interface the driver's commands on one side and the powertrain commands on the other side, in particular with multiple power components (combustion engine and/or one or more electric motors) and different energy storage components (battery modules with their auxiliaries and recharge systems).

The main objective of the thesis is the development and implementation of a complete development toolchain using the V-Cycle approach as normed by ISO 26262 starting from a Model Based Design to an Automatic Code Generation to be tested Hardware-in-the-Loop on a dynamic test bench using automotive standard software and instrumentation (Matlab/Simulink, dSpace, ETAS).
