Description The research will pertain to the structural health monitoring of bridges with discrete and distributed optical fiber sensors. The successful candidates will have the chance to perform research at the Smart Sensors and NDT Laboratory (University of Illinois at Chicago), and use the laboratory and computations structural engineering methods established in the laboratory in monitoring of multi-span bridges.
