Design and Development of an Electro-Mechanical Spring Alternator


Descrizione The alternator is created by a modification of a magnetic actuator using a mechanical spring mounted in parallel to the motion direction of the system. Two prototypes of magnetic actuators have been developed in cited works. This work uses the same dimensions and characteristics of the developed actuators proposing a modification of the functioning model. Novel theoretical concepts have been proposed. A linearized control system is presented underlining how the instability of the generated transfer function could be used to excite the complete alternator. The idea is to use the resonance of the system to generate the local input force in a closed loop process.
