Why this guide?
The Tuition Fee Guide indicates the amounts of the fees and the deadlines for the payments to be up to date with one’s administrative duties and explain the procedure to follow in order to apply for the reduction of the dues amounts.
All students must read the Tuition Fee Guide before enrolling in the 2021/2022 academic year.
  • Following the Rectoral decree N° 265 of 22/03/2022, some urgent measures have been adopted in order to facilitate the continuation of studies for Ukrainian, Russian and Belarusian students. Some of them concern the tuition fee. Click here to read the decree.
  • Following the Rectoral decrees N°622/2021 and 1231/2021, on 23/12/2021 the Tuition Fee Guide for the 2021/2022 academic year has been updated under artt. 32, 54 and 55. Click here to read the full versione of the Guide.

TUITION FEES - GENERAL INFORMATION
TUITION FEES' INSTALMENTS
The tuition fee is due by the student who completes the enrollment in the ongoing academic year. The tuition fee is calculated per year but it may be divided into two instalments:
  • the first instalment must be paid upon enrollment;
  • the second instalment must be paid according to the deadlines indicated in the section below.
The amounts due depending on the student's contribution level are indicated under Annex B and Section 4 of the Tuition Fee Guide.

In some specific cases the tuition fee may consist in one single amount which must be paid upon enrollment (i.e.: enrollment in Single courses, in a PhD programme or student with a special economic treatment); for more detials please read Section 1 of the Tuition Fee Guide:
STUDENTS' VIRTUAL ACCOUNT
When you enrol at Politecnico, you establish a system of economic relations similar to a bank account with Politecnico. This economic relation system is called “student’s virtual account”.
From your virtual account (Teaching Portal - Online Services - Tuition Fee and Payments- Pay your tuition fee) you can see your debit/credit relations with Politecnico and your payments as well.
You can have a debit towards Politecnico or a credit, if you get a reduction on your fees or a refund:
The "Account balance" section shows any possible credit that the student may have towards Politecnico: it is possible to request the refund of the credit balance or leave it on the virtual account for future payments. The "To pay" section shows the amount that the student has to pay: when the amount indicated in this section is 0€, the student's payments are even.
HOW TO PAY THE TUITION FEES
You can py the tuition fees only through the PagoPA platform (available at Online Services – Tuition fees and payments – Pay your Tuition fees) by choosing a:
  • Quick payment: Credit card, online bank transfer or any other available payment method. Please note: the PagoPA platform (online electronic payment to the Public Administration) may not authorize payments by Credit Card of over € 1,000. In this case, you will have to make different partial payments. You will have to type the amount of each partial payment in the relative field (“importo versamento”).
  • Deferred payment: you must generate a MAV (Modulo Avviso Pagamento / electronic deposit slip). You can pay your MAV at any bank counter or through the online banking service of your bank. The payment is automatically recorded within 24-48 hours of the date of payment. For any other operation requiring a simultaneous payment (for instance, first enrolment/enrolment for a new academic year, Final Examination registration) you must declare the date of payment: log in to the enrolment/registration procedure again and click the Register MAV Please note that if you pay your MAV after 5.00 p.m., the bank might not record your payment on the same day (you must verify with your bank their recording schedule). This could be a problem if you pay on the deadline date (late penalties fees might be applied for late payment).
If the amount due exceeds limit of your card, it is possible to divide the amount due into smaller parts and make multiple payments, until the debt is covered.
HOW TO CLAIM A REFUND
  1. select the refund modality from your Teaching Portal - Online Services - Tuition Fees and Payments - Choose your payment method to receive refunds from Politecnico. The options for reimbursement are the following:
    • Bank or Bancoposta transfer: you must be the holder or co-holder of a bank account and you must indicate its IBAN code in order to receive the refund. This modality is to be preferred as allows the refund process to be completed faster.
    • Cash: as soon as money is available, you will receive an e-mail in your PoliTo mailbox with the instructions for collecting your refund. You must go to a UniCredit bank counter with your identity card and your fiscal code in order to get your money;
2. click on the option "refund request" at the bottom of your Online Services - Tuition Fees and Payments - Pay your tuition fees.
FAILURE TO PAY OR LATE PAYMENT - HOLD ON YOUR ACADEMIC PROGRESS
If you do not pay your tuition fees or other debits charged on your virtual account by the deadline a hold will be placed on your academic progress and you will not be able to perform any further operations (exams, withdrawal from studies, etc.).
This hold will be automatically removed when you complete the debit payment.
  • if you miss the second instalment's deadline, you'll be charged 10€ if you pay within the first 15 days of the deadline. If your payment takes place after the 15th day, you will be charged an additional cost (10% of your debt).
  • if you miss the deadline to pay another type of debit, you will not be charged of any extra-fee.
