Politong Project (Italian-Chinese Campus)
General Info
This campus has been issued in 2005 with the support of the Ministry of Education of the People' s Republic of China and the Ministry of Education, University and Research of the Republic of Italy. Financed by the Ministry and then by San Paolo Company, it develops a joint project in institutions of higher learning of the two countries. Access criteria are extremely selective.  The first objective is to create a new ruling class familiar with the cultures of both countries. The campus, operating from 2006, involves joint study plans, coordinated by a commission of Italian and Chinese professors.
The engineering Politong project partners are Politecnico di Torino, Politecnico di Milano and Tongji of Shanghai, where classes have to be attended.
A peculiarity of the Campus is the bond among students from the two countries. In Politecnico di Torino, this project has been attended by  136 Chinese students and 82 Italian students.
