LLP/Erasmus
Lifelong Learning Programme (LLP) enables individuals at all stages of their lives to pursue stimulating learning opportunities across Europe. Erasmus subprogram is dedicated to higher education involving University students and professors.
Through a bilateral agreement one University declares the collaboration with another University.

The outgoing student will attend one or two semester of courses which can be validated by the home university.
Participation priority is given to Bachelor degree third year students and Master degree second year students.
For Design e Comunicazione Visiva study course, priority is given to Bachelor degree third year students and for Ecodesign study course, to Master degree first and second year students.
As agreed with the Erasmus Officer, a maximum number of credits can be validated (about 60 ECTS for a full academic year, 30 ECTS for a semester, with 3 credits tolerance).
Obviously the number of passed foreign European credits will correspond to an equal number of passed Italian credits. In countries with a different credits system, hours will take their place: one ECTS credit correspond to 25 hours (10 hours of classes plus 15 hours of exercises).
If the outgoing student is requested to attend more courses, this effort will result in major job opportunities and greater cultural and social experience.

Outgoing professors will be asked to study the foreign teaching organization, prepare students exchanges and conduct courses or seminars.

Politecnico organizes some free language courses for students winning an Erasmus scholarship.

NOTE: We advise students willing to attend compulsory courses to choose the first semester abroad. Instead we advise students willing to attend labs or elective courses to choose the second semester abroad. Elective courses can be inserted in the mobility year in order to ease the equivalence chances. Anyway, the foreign study program, should be arranged with Erasmus Officers, considering the need of attending the remaining compulsory courses (not available abroad) at the home University.
