Politecnico di Torino is one of the founders of PEGASUS network (Partnership of a European Group of Aeronautics and Space Universities), which currently involves 25 European Universities (and 4 extra-European associated members). They offer high quality study plans (corresponding to a Master degree level) in the Aerospace Engineering field.
PEGASUS network enhances Erasmus mobility and eases the comprehension of national curricula for the European aerospace industry, also through international internships offers.
For this purpose Politecnico di Torino students obtaining the master degree in Aerospace Engineering, will receive also one of the following certificate, signed by the Rector of Politecnico and the President of PEGASUS:
1. PEGASUS Certificate, given to all Politecnico di Torino Aerospace Engineering graduates, with which PEGASUS Universities certify their studies quality;
2. PEGASUS A.W.A.R.D. (Achievement through Working Abroad for academic Research or industrial Development projects), given in addition to the Certificate, to the graduates who spent 5 months abroad (with Erasmus or others exchange projects). This document attests the international nature of the studies. These students will be registered in the PEGASUS permanent list available to European aerospace industry.
Same certifications are released by all Universities of PEGASUS network. They don’t have a legal value, but they license an Aerospace Engineering graduate to introduce to any firm, demonstrating the European recognition of its title.
From 2005, PEGASUS network annually organizes in Europe, together with the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA), a Student Conference awarding the best MSc Aerospace Engineering degree thesis. The candidate in first position is offered to participate the American competition final.
