Courses with pending exam and overbooking
First of all, you must insert in your Annual Personal Study Plan those courses that had already been inserted in the APSP of previous years for which, either, you have not passed the exam yet, or the grade will be recorded at the same time of  the definition of your new ASPS. These “courses with pending exam” (insegnamenti in debito d’esame) will be marked in blue by the system.
We remind you that they must be inserted in your APSP before any other new course that you intend to insert for the first time.

Once you exceed the maximum limit (80 credits), those courses that were last inserted will be considered as “exceeding courses” and will be marked in red by the system. However, the system will allow you to exceed the limit (this operation is normally referred to as overbooking) in order to take into account:

  •  exams that you will take in the Fall session (September);
  •  exams that you already passed but have not been registered yet;
  •  internships and/or foreign language examinations passed and recorded by 31st December 2016.

At a later stage, as long as the above mentioned exams are passed and recorded, they will be removed from the Annual Personal Study Plan, thus “releasing space” for new credits. The previously “exceeding courses” will now enter in the APSP, following the order in which they had been inserted. This adjustment period normally ends a few weeks after the end of the September examination session (except for the internship and foreign languages courses).

Any exam passed in subsequent examination sessions (belonging to the new academic year) will not contribute to “unblock” further credits. Therefore the remaining “exceeding exams” (overbooking exams) will not enter into the Annual Personal Study Plan.

When you define your Annual Personal Study Plan you must pay attention and insert  your courses following a priority order. When you approach the end of your course of study, you will have to carefully check in which semester your overbooking courses are offered, in order to be able to plan the end of your studies before the first convenient graduation period.

Please note that, on your personal page of the Teaching Portal, you will not see your overbooking courses (since they remain outside your Annual Personal Study Plan). Therefore you will not be able to take and register those exams for the entire academic year.
