If, upon enrolment, you had self-declared that you have the IELTS 5.0 certificate, or any other certification at an equivalent/higher level, you must show the original certificate to the Office of Student Services on the day you complete your enrolment procedure. In this case your English exam will automatically be recorded within the first examination session (generally in January /February). You do not need to take any further action.

If you take the IELTS exam through Politecnico and you pass it, your result will automatically be recorded by our offices: you do not need  to make a request for it.

If you already have the IELTS 5.0 certificate, or any other certification at an equivalent /higher level (“Recognized equivalences  with IELTS 5.0” and “Recognized equivalences  with IELTS 5.5”) obtained on your own outside Politecnico, you must show the certificate to the Office of Student Services in order to have the English exam recorded.

If you already have an English certificate not included in the list of equivalent certifications, you can go to the Office of Student Services that will ask the Language Centre to make an evaluation of your certificate.

If you have a certificate of a foreign language other than English, obtained outside Politecnico, you must show  the certificate at the Office of Student Services in order to have the exam recorded (if this is foreseen by your Annual Personal Study Plan). Please refer to the table of accepted certificates (French, Spanish and German) available on the CLA webpage.

Please note that the English language exam is a prerequirement - and not a curricular obligation - for all students enrolled in Master’s degree programmes. Therefore the English exam is recorded exclusively under the student’s personal details.
