Recognition of credits for forfeited or withdrawn students
Students who have withdrawn from studies at Politecnico di Torino or at other universities, or students who have forfeited at other universities, can request the recognition of the exams they have passed in their previous career, when they enrol in a degree programme at Politecnico di Torino.

In order to request the recognition of previous credits, you need to turn in the following documents to the Office of the University Registrar – Fees and Right to Education:

1.      Exam Recognition Application Form
2.      A self-certification of the exams passed in previous careers (only if the exams were taken at another university)
3.      Course syllabus for each exam passed in previous careers
4.      150 Euro payment receipt (this sum will not be deducted from tuition fees in case of subsequent enrolment)

If you accept the results of the evaluation carried out by the teaching committee, you will have to finalize the enrolment procedure, within 30 working days. You will have to pay a fixed fee of 16 Euro for each validated credit, on top of the tuition fees due for the academic year (please refer to the Fee Regulations and Fee Guide 2016/2017)

For admission to capped degree programmes, you must have passed the admission test if you intend to request the recognition of previous credits. The exam recognition form must be submitted by 23rd September 2016.

Please note that students who have interrupted their studies at other universities, must gain at Politecnico di Torino at least 60 credits including the Final Project in order to be awarded the Bachelor’s degree, and 50 credits besides the thesis in order to get the Master’s degree.
