Erasmus+ is the EU programme for education, training, youth and sport in Europe. It was launched on 1st January 2014. Each participating university makes interinstitutional agreements with a number of universities from other EU or non-EU Erasmus+ countries. These agreements establish the cooperation framework which is going to be implemented with each partner.
Politecnico encourages all students to take part in an international mobility programme. Students can spend a semester abroad where they can take official courses that will be recognized by Politecnico upon return.
If you are selected for an Erasmus+ mobility programme (with or without scholarship), you will get the “Erasmus+ status”. This status provides you with several advantages and benefits such as:
- you keep paying your tuition fees to your home university only and you do not have to pay any fees to your host university;
- Politecnico supports you with administrative procedures and helps you to contact your host university through preferential channels. This way you avoid losing time with red tape;
- Politecnico recognizes the courses and activities you take abroad and validates the corresponding credits (you must plan and agree your mobility study plan with your Polito mobility coordinators before you leave).
