English-taught learning path
If you want to attend this path, you must specify it when you define your Personal Study Plan/ Annual Personal Study Plan by 25th September 2022. Your Personal Study Plan will contain the generic codes of the various types of courses. By the same deadline you must also define your Annual Personal Study Plan and enter the generic codes of the various courses that you want to take. Course allocations will take place according to a merit criterion based on the order of preference that each student expressed during the creation of the Annual Personal Study Plan.

For this reason, you could be assigned to courses in Italian and in English, only courses in Italian or only courses in English, on the basis of the order of preference that you have indicated and of the merit criterion.

You are required to express your course preferences through the procedure for the definition of the Personal Study Plan - Annual Personal Study Plan indicated below.
How to rank your courses in order of preference
You must make sure you have included in your APSP the course titles and the generic codes of each type of course of your Master's degree programme. You can find the course titles and codes on the Teaching Portal: course catalogue – Master’s degree programmes – name of your programme – Course programme (curriculum). To express your order of preferences, log into your personal page of the Teaching Portal, go to “Segreteria online”/"On line services" TAB, choose the “Create your PSP/APSP” PORTLET.
If you have not been able to express your order of preference before the deadline, you will have the possibility to compete for a place in the courses that still have some places available during a second phase - period to be defined. The second phase will be activated only if there are at least two courses with available places. Otherwise, course allocations will be automatic. The dates of the second phase will communicated at a later date.

Course allocations method
After the deadline for expressing the preferences, Politecnico counts how many students have chosen each generic code. This number is equally distributed so that places in each course are offered to students taking into account their preferences and their position on the ranking list. If several students with the same position on the ranking list have chosen the same course but the number of available places is insufficient to satisfy all demands, places in the course will be offered taking into account the number of exams passed with honors by each student, and (subsequently) by random computerized drawing.
For the allocation of first-semester courses: the calculation of merit takes into account the exams taken by each student by the end of the Summer examination session (July 2022).
For the allocation of second-semester courses: the calculation of merit takes into account the exams taken by each student by the end of the Autumn examination session (September 2022).

The merit ranking will be calculated as follows:

(overall weighted average of the three-year degree * 180) + [(V1 * CFU1) + (V2 * CFU2) + (Vn * CFUn)] ________________________________________________________________________________________
6 + number of semesters of enrollment in the Master's degree programme.
The number 6 refers to the minimum number of semesters necessary for the achievement of the Bachelor's degree programme.
The calculation of the number of semesters starts from the first enrolment in the Master's degree programme; for the calculation of the score, only the exams validated by the Politecnico di Torino are considered.

Students need to rank their courses in order of preference in accordance with the deadlines of the following table.

In any case students must have included the generic codes of these courses in their Annual Personal Study Plan and they must have ranked the courses in order of preference by 25 September 2022.
Students taking part in an outgoing mobility project must not express any preferences regarding Polito courses that are offered while they are abroad.
Students taking part in an incoming mobility project (double degree / Erasmus + / bilateral agreement) must contact the Incoming Mobility Office for advice on this issue.

Students who advance some Master's courses
Students enrolled in the Bachelor's degree programme who advance some courses of their future Master's degree programme will be able to rank in order of preference only the first-semester coursesof their Master's first year when they create their Personal Study Plan / Annual Personal Study Plan. Allocations are based on a merit ranking list.
When to rank courses in order of preference
by18h of September 2022 (merit-based allocations).
If for any reason you do not express your course preferences during the specified time frame, you will have the possibility to specify your order of prefrence among the courses that have residual places in a second phase (time frame to be defined).The second phase will be activated only if there are at least two courses/atelier with available places. Otherwise, course allocations will be automatic.
If you have advanced some Master’s courses, you can express the order of preference for your second-semester courses during a time frame to be defined if you have attained your Bachelor's degree and after you enrol in your Master’s degree programme according to the table below.
You are allowed to express your preferences exclusively among the courses with residual places.

You can rank the courses in order of preference using the arrows or dragging and dropping them in the desired position, as illustrated in picture 1.

Therefore, you need to rank in order of preference the Ateliers offered by your Master's degree programme in the course catalogue.
Introductory Seminars from Table B
The Introductory Seminars from Table B are assigned to students according to a merit criterion based on the order of preference expressed by each student while creating the Personal Study Plan/ Annual Personal Study Plan. Therefore, you need to rank in order of preference the Introductory Seminars offered by your Master's degree programme in the course catalogue.
Ist year - 2nd semester
- Atelier 2
Atelier 2 is assigned to students according to a merit criterion based on the order of preference expressed by each student after the closing date for the creation of the Personal Study Plan/ Annual Personal Study Plan. Therefore, you need to rank in order of preference the Ateliers offered by your Master's degree programme in the course catalogue.
The time frame to rank courses in order of preference will be communicated later.
- Atelier 3
Atelier 3 is assigned to students according to a merit criterion based on the order of preference expressed by each student after the closing date for the creation of the Personal Study Plan/ Annual Personal Study Plan. Therefore, you need to rank in order of preference the Ateliers offered by your Master's degree programme in the course catalogue. The time frame to rank courses in order of preference will be communicated later.
You can repeat this operation as many times as you wish until the closing date of the time frame for expressing the order of preference.
