COMPULSORY COURSES - ALLOCATIONS
Your Personal Study Plan includes: 1) courses that you can select by yourself until all places in the course are full; and 2) courses that will be assigned to students based on merit and on the order of preference expressed during the creation of the Annual Personal Study Plan.
If you enrolled at Politecnico in a.y. 2023/24 or before: the deadline to create your PSP and rank your courses in order of preference is 13th September 2024.
If you enrolled at Politecnico in a.y. 2024/25 for the first time, we suggest you create your PSP and rank your courses in order of preference by 23rd September 2024. After this date, the Student Careers Unit will assign the courses to students.
ELECTIVE COURSES
You are free to include any first-year course (except for the introductory seminars of Table A and Table b) in your APSP until all places in the course are full. If the course that you have selected is available, the system will let you add it to your APSP. If there are no more places available in the course, the system will display a message ("no places available) after you save your APSP. In this case, you must open you APSP again and choose another course from the list.
Please make sure that you have actually included the selected course into your APSP. You must drag and drop the course from the box "PSP courses that can be added to your APSP" to the "APSP" box. Then save your APSP.

- Low impact technology
- if you added to your APSP an Atelier 2 with Scientific Disciplinary Field ICAR/14 + ICAR/22, you can only choose an elective course from Table 2 with ICAR/21 Scientific Disciplinary Field, i.e.:
- Urbanism
- if you added to your APSP an Atelier 2 with Scientific Disciplinary Field ICAR/14 + ICAR/21, you can only choose an elective course from Table 2 with ICAR/22 Scientific Disciplinary Field, i.e.:
- Economic evaluation of project
If you do not observe the above-mentioned matches, the system will not allow you to complete and save your APSP.

MERIT-BASED ALLOCATIONS
Introductive Seminars from Table A, Introductive Seminars from Table B (Year 1) + Atelier 3, Elective course from Table 5 (Year 2 - English-taught) are assigned to students based on merit and the order of preference expressed by students during the creation of their APSP/PSP.
Important:
- Outgoing mobility students must not express any preferences regarding courses offred by Politecnico during the semester/semesters they will spend abroad
- Incoming mobility students (double degree/ Erasmus +/ bilateral agreement) must contact the International Mobility Unit
How to rank your courses in order of preference
First of all, you must make sure that you have included the generic course in your APSP.
Log into your personal page of the Teaching Portal, go to “Segreteria online”/"On line services" TAB , choose the “Fill in your PSP/APSP” portlet. After confirming your APSP, you will be automatically redirected to a new page where you will be able to rank your courses in order of preference using the arrows (drag and drop) as shown in Picture 1.
We remind you that the order of preference will be accepted by the system after you click the "Proceed" button.
You can modify the order of preference until the closing date for the creation of the APSP/PSP.

Calculation of the merit scoreThe score of the merit ranking list is calculated as follows:
Students enrolled in a Master's degree programme

6 is the number of semesters required to attain the Bachelor's degree.
Students enrolled in a Master's degree programme

6 is the number of semesters required to attain the Bachelor's degree.
The number of semesters is intended as the number from the student’s first enrolment in the Master's degree programme. The calculation only takes into account the exams accepted and validated by Politecnico.
For allocations of first semester courses: merit is calculated taking into account the exams taken by each student by the end of the the July 2024 examination session.
For allocations of first semester courses: merit is calculated taking into account the exams taken by each student by the end of the the July 2024 examination session.
For allocations of second semester courses: merit is calculated taking into account the exams taken by each student by the end of the September 2024 examination session.
If several students have the same position on the ranking list but the number of available seats is less than required, places in the course will be offered taking into account the number of exams passed with honors by each student, and (subsequently) by random computerized drawing.
If you do not rank your courses in order of preference by the above-mentioned deadlines, you will be automatically assigned to the courses with residual places.
If necessary, the Student Careers Unit - Architecture may open a new time frame to rank the courses in order of preference (on top of the standard period), provided that there are at least two courses with available places.
Allocations cannot be modified under any circumstances.

Atelier 3 will be assigned to students based on merit and the order of preferece expressed by students.
Elective course from Table 5
The elective course from Table 5 will be assigned to students based on: 1) merit ; 2) order of preferece expressed by students; 3) the Scientific Disciplinary Fields of Atelier 3.
If you added to your APSP an Atelier 3 with Scientific Disciplinary Fields ICAR/14 + ICAR/17, you can only be assigned to an elective course from Table 5 with Scientific Disciplinary FieldICAR/19, i.e.:
If several students have the same position on the ranking list but the number of available seats is less than required, places in the course will be offered taking into account the number of exams passed with honors by each student, and (subsequently) by random computerized drawing.
If you do not rank your courses in order of preference by the above-mentioned deadlines, you will be automatically assigned to the courses with residual places.

- Building information modeling
Introductory seminars from Table A and Table B
Introductory Seminars from Table A and Table B are allocated to students based on: 1) merit; 2) order of preference expressed by students during the creation of the APSP/PSP by 23 September 2024*.
*Applicable only to the students who first enrolled at Politecnico in a.y. 2024/2025
Students who first enrolled at Politecnico in a.y. 2023/2024 or before must express their preferences before the deadline for the creation of the APSP/PSP - 13 September 2024
