3rd YEAR
1st semester
The Laboratorio di Storia dell'architettura e della città and the Laboratorio di Teoria del progetto may be freely included in the annual personal study plan until all places are filled.
If the course selected in the personal study plan has available places, the system will allow you to add it to your annual personal study plan; otherwise, after saving the annual personal study plan, an error message will be displayed as shown in the picture.
Please pay close attention to the actual inclusion of the selected course in the annual personal study plan, which can be verified in the "Annual personal study plan Summary" section.
Important: for students enrolled from the 2024/2025 academic year onwards, the personal study plan requires them to select one of the proposed Studio, even if they will attend it in subsequent academic years.
Please note that the actual allocation will take place in the academic year in which the selected laboratory will be included in the annual personal study plan, depending on the places available.

* Important notice for all merit-based course allocations

HOW TO EXPRESS THE ORDER OF PREFERENCE OF MANDATORY COURSES

The procedure is common to all Bachelor's and Master's degree programmes.
The course names shown are to be considered as examples.
How to express your order of preference
To proceed with indicating your order of preference, you must:
1. access your personal page on the Teaching portal, section "Career", portlet "Personal study plan"

3. ‘Add’ the generic codes of the courses subject to allocation according to merit criteria visible in the ‘selectable courses’ section (Picture 1) in the Annual personal study plan (Picture 2).

4. After clicking on "Next", the procedure will allow you to order the courses according to your preference, using the arrows.
5. to complete the step, click "Next" and verify that it has been successfully completed.
You can change the order of your preferences until the deadline of the personal study plan/annual personal study plan definition process,  by returning to the personal study plan and annual personal study plan definition procedure, selecting the action ‘Change preferences for courses subject to ranking’.
Calculation of the merit score

The score of the merit ranking list is calculated as follows:

(GR1 * CFU1) + (GR2 * CFU2) + (GRn * CFUn) + (overall weighted average grade* CFU of ungraded exams)
_______________________________________________________________________________
number of semesters from student’s first enrolment in the university system
If several students have chosen the same course and they have the same position on the ranking list but the number of available seats is less than required, places in the course will be offered taking into account the number of exams passed with honors by each student, and (subsequently) by random computerized drawing.
Please note: In case of internal transfer or transfer from another university, the calculation takes into account the number of semesters since first enrolment at the University of origin.
  • For allocations of the 1st semester courses: merit is calculated taking into account the exams taken by each student by the end of the July 2025 examination session;
  • For allocations of the 2nd semester courses: merit is calculated taking into account the exams taken by each student by the end of the September 2025 examination session.
Outgoing mobility students must not express any preferences regarding courses offered by Politecnico during the semester/semesters they will spend abroad.

Students who advance some Master's courses
Those enrolled in the Bachelor's degree programme who meet the requirements and wish to take courses from the Master's degree programme may, by the deadline for defining the annual personal study plan (12th September 2025), freely select, until all available places are filled, the Studios and courses of the 1st semester and express their order of preference for the introductory seminars from Table A and Table B, which will be assigned according to a merit ranking.

The merit ranking list for students who have not yet enrolled in a Master's degree programme is calculated as follows:

(GR1 * CFU1) + (GR2 * CFU2) + (GRn * CFUn) + (overall weighted average grade* CFU of ungraded exams)
