Master's degree programmes 2020 - 2021
(students with italian degree)
single course enrolment for unfulfilled academic requirements for master's admissions
If you have some unfulfilled academic requirements upon application for admission to a Master’s degree programme, you must make up for these academic requirements (credits) before you can enrol in the Master’s degree programme. You must enrol in single courses in order to earn the credits required for admission to the Master’s degree programme you have chosen.
You can enrol in single courses for a maximum of 60 credits
 Procedure:
Make sure you do not select and enrol in your SINGLE COURSES from the “Select degree programme” section of the Apply@polito platform but follow these steps:
  • Submit your application for admission to the Master’s degree programme you have chosen and wait for the evaluation of your application;
  • Go to the “Evaluations” section of your personal page of the Apply@polito platform: if you are denied admission (evaluation “rejected”), click on “Enrol in single courses”.
  • You will see the list of courses recommended by the Teaching Committee and the fee you need to pay for enrolment in these courses. More information is available in the Tuition Fee Guide for a.y. 2020/21
If you are going to get your Bachelor’s degree by September 2020, we strongly recommend that you enrol in single courses before September so you will be able to access all services starting from the beginning of classes.
By enrolling in single courses you can sit the exam even for subjects held in the second semester, so you will not need to wait the second semester to sit the exam.
Please note that the courses assigned by the Committee to make up for unfulfilled academic requirements cannot be recognized after you enrol in your Master’s degree programme, even if they are part of the programme curriculum.
You will be able to enrol in your Master’s degree programme after you pass all the exams of your single courses. If you make up for your unfulfilled academic requirements during the Winter examination session, you will be allowed to enrol in the Master’s degree programme you have chosen starting from the second semester. The enrolment deadline is 31st March 2021 30th April 2021*.
When all grades of your single courses are recorded in your transcript, you need to contact the Office of Student Services using the Ticketing Service. The Office of Student Services will close your position as a student enrolled in single courses and you will be able to enrol in your Master’s degree programme.
*Update of 19/03/2021
PLEASE NOTE: If you were denied admission to a Master’s degree programme due to your unfulfilled academic requirements but you failed to enrol in single courses to make up for your Bachelor’s incomplete courses, you are not allowed to enrol in single courses “for open competitive exams, professional updating and requalification” selecting the courses of the Master’s degree programme you applied for.
Enrolment in single courses is valid for one academic year only. This means that if you enrol in a single course during a certain academic year but you do not pass the exam within the last examination session of that academic year (September), you will have to re-enrol in the course and pay the corresponding fee again in order to take the exam in the next academic year.
