The course deals with the analysis of how addivite manufacturing impacts on production management and hence how production management must be changed with respect to traditional manufacturing systems. 

The differences will be studied in terms of process economics, make-or-buy decisions, inventory policies, specialization, customer relationship management, costing system, process capability.  

JIT and lean manufacturing will be discussed as the most suitable approaches n additive systems, together with individual customization.
