The goal of this course is to provide the basis of the LabVIEW programming environment; it will cover the basic topics of data flow programming, data types (scalar and array), interactive analysis, loops, data acquisition (DAQ Assistant) and logging data to file (text and tdms files). An overview of the analog to digital conversion will introduce the data acquisition section. DAQ architectures, sample rate, signal band,… will be covered. The course will also show an introduction to design patterns in LabVIEW. The last part of the course will be dedicated to the state machine design pattern developing a complete example that mixes all the topics covered in the course.
