Description Scenario:
According to new European directivities about type approval on product security, the industries are seeking an adversary simulator used in the Enterprise Security domain that replicates the tactics and techniques of an advanced adversary in the embedded system domain. This technology solution is becoming strategic because it not only allows a considerable reduction in the time for verification activities, improving the quality but also lets an overall cost reduction that makes the product more charming.
Thesis’ activities:
In this Master’s thesis, given a standard Open Virtual Platform model, the student shall model the attacks, affecting MCU’s components (e.g., Row hammer, DMA, Memory, whatever), with a proper adversary SystemC component. It permits exposing the target software builds to attacks at the verification activities with a significant effort reduction.
