Description Stress and cognitive load are conditions that affect our cognitive and emotional processes, thus hindering the decision-making process in many situations in our daily lives. Eye movements, such as saccades, fixations, and pupil size, are extremely sensitive to changes in these conditions and allow us to discriminate different levels of these conditions.
The proposed thesis work will be structured as follows:
1) The candidate will be asked to perform a state-of-the-art analysis of eye-tracking as a function of stress and cognitive load.
2) Subsequently, the candidate will be required to carry out experimental tests using the eye-tracking equipment in our laboratory that assesses eye movements in relation to variations in stress and cognitive load.
3) The data obtained should be processed in such a way as to extrapolate the most significant features identified previously.
4) Finally, the candidate should evaluate the correlation of these features with the variation in stress and cognitive load.
This process will allow the candidate to demonstrate the correlation between parameters related to eye movements and variation in stress and cognitive load, using our state-of-the-art eye-tracking technologies.
