Thesis type EXPERIMENTAL - DESIGN

Description Acquisition of biosignals is still a sensitive topics in the literature, even if multiple acquisition systems are already well-known and their implementation is standardized.

During, this thesis work the student will get the knowledge of our group about sEMG acquisition and will focus on the research of a different design which allows to reduce the number of electrodes used and the size of the actual wearable device. A preliminary study will allow the candidate to understand the mechanism of the existing implementations in the literature and to acquire enough expertise to blend different details in an unique working solution.

At the end of the design phase, a CAD tool will be used to implement the obtained solution in hardware. A final phase, with the new acquisition method embedded with the previous digital interface, will prove the effectiveness of the system.
