Description The present thesis will address the development of a communication system based on Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) that allows us to reach Unconditional Security thanks to the law of Quantum Mechanics. The approach works with Qubit instead of the classical bit and can be implemented by exploiting the quantum properties of light (single
photon). The thesis will explore the viability and parameters for a real-time implementation of FPGA. An experimental realization of the chip is planned during the thesis workflow. The thesis is supported by a scholarship and it is performed in collaboration with the University of Padova.
