Description The cellular structure of chitosan scaffolds need to be designed in order to meet various constrains, e.g., pore size and specific surface area. In this contest the Vacuum Induced Nucleation is investigated for the control of porosity of scaffolds for tissue regeneration. This study focuses on the demonstration that this method can effectively be used to produce scaffolds with desired porosity, which is a parameter that differs according to the type of tissue to be regenerated.
