Description The RG.Polito Glide project aims at the design, the manufacturing, the optimization of a snowboard which will be environmentally sustainable from the point of view of the materials, of manufacturing processes, of integration of competences, of closeness to nature and to sport as instruments for integration and improvement of environment attention.
The project will be developed in the frame of a student team which is being established starting from initial design and prototype.
In the current thesis activity the structural aspect of the multilayer structure will be investigated
focusing on mechanical resistance, dynamic response, elasticity and flexibility aspects.
The study will be developed by means of FEM and in cohoperation with other students who will deal with material characterisation, experimentation on structure, tribological and fluidodynamic issues.
