Description The work will focus on the CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) simulation and assessment of risk reduction of COVID-19 airborne contagion by the introduction of local airflow control device and microwave virus-killer systems. Two patented technologies, one, the Bio-Stopper (link below for a TV presentation), property of Politecnico di Torino, and one proposed by a leading electronic company, will be included in the simulations.

Required skills Fluiddynamics of turbulent flow. CAD 3D (Solidworks, or similar). The followings will greatly advantage the work: fundamental knowledge of aerosol technologies and previous experience with CFD software Star-CCM+

Notes Two research grants of 800 are available for this topic. It is possible also to do the curricular internship at our H-NAC labs.
