Enrolment
It is possible to enrol in
single
courses offered by Politecnico di Torino in the following cases:
- if you need to prepare for an open
competitive exam, for professional updating and professional
requalification, up to a maximum
of 20 credits, if
you hold a Upper secondary school diploma;
- if you are a student enrolled at a
foreign university and you want to enrich your learning path, up to a maximum of 36 credits;
- if you need to make up unfulfilled
academic requirements in order to enrol in a Master’s degree programme,
and you have been denied admission, up to a maximum of 60 credits (more information is available
in the section “Regole di Accesso”/”Admission regulations” – “Requisiti
curricolari”/“Curricular requirements" – Apply portal - Lauree
Magistrali/ Master’s degree programmes 2017/2018 a.y.);
- if you do not meet the language
requirement (possession of the IELTS certificate or possession of one
of the certificates accepted in substitution for IELTS) for admission to a
Master’s degree programme (more information is available in the section
“Regole di Accesso”/”Admission regulations” – Requisiti
linguisitici/"Language requirements”- Apply portal - Lauree
Magistrali/). If you meet all the
other requirements (“Curricular requirements” and “Appropriate educational
background”), this type of enrolment allows you to attend first-semester courses and take the exams of the Master’s
first year, without any delay in your academic career. You must obtain the
language certificate before the deadline for enrolment in the Master’s
degree programme in second semester.
Please note:- the enrolment fee is composed of a fixed fee (350,11 Euro)
plus 16 Euro for each credit that you want to purchase (payment terms
and methods are illustrated in the Tuition Fee Guide 2017/2018 – art. 18)
- You will
be able to sit the exam even before the course has been delivered
- The Office of the University Registrar is in charge of
issuing the certificates for this type of enrolment
- The exams that you have passed can be recognized if
you decide to enrol in a degree programme at Politecnico di Torino
We remind you that enrolment in
single courses:
- is incompatible
with enrolment in any other Italian university programme: you are not allowed to have
an active academic career at any other Italian university.
- is valid for one
academic year only: this means that, if you have purchased a course for a certain
academic year, but you do not pass the exam within the last examination
session of that academic year (September), you will have to enrol in the
course and buy the credits again in order to be able to sit and register
the exam.
We cannot accept enrolment
applications for:
- First-year courses belonging to any
Bachelor’s degree programme;
- Laboratories, Studios, Workshops and
Design Units of the Architecture area;
- Courses belonging to Engineering degree
programmes (including courses
offered in years after the first) if such programmes are
capped to a limited number of students;
- “Safety on construction site” and “Risk
evaluation and management in the industry and construction sites” courses:
in accordance with Legislative Decree No. 81/2008 the corresponding
certificate can be awarded only to students who are regularly enrolled in
this degree programme.
You are allowed to enrol in the above mentioned
courses only if
you need to make up unfulfilled academic
requirements in order to be admitted to a Master’s degree programme. When
you add one of the above mentioned courses, the information will show on your
Apply personal page.
How to enrol in a single course
Case 1- use the
Apply procedure
(on-line enrolment service) in order to choose and enrol in the courses, from the
section "Scegli il percorso/Singoli insegnamenti” (Choose your learning
path / Single courses),
before 30/03/2018.
You will have to wait for the application outcome,
available on your Apply personal page under the section
“Valutazioni”/”Evaluations”. If your application is accepted, you can
officially enrol in the courses that have been approved (on-line enrolment
only).
Case 2- use the
Apply procedure
(on-line enrolment service) in order to choose and enrol in the courses, from the
section "Scegli il percorso/Singoli insegnamenti” (Choose your learning
path / Single courses),
before 30/03/2018.
You will have to wait for the application outcome,
available on your Apply personal page under the section
“Valutazioni”/”Evaluations”. If your application is accepted, you can
officially enrol in the courses that have been approved (enrolment must take place using the online
procedure exclusively, and only after the Incoming Mobility Office has approved
your documents).

Case 3 - on your Apply
personal page, under the section “Valutazioni”/”Evaluations”, you can see the
outcome of your rejected admission application and the list of the exams that
you have to take in order to make up your unfulfilled academic
requirements. In order to enrol, you have to click on “Procedi con
l’iscrizione ai singoli insegnamenti”/”Enrol to single courses” and select the
courses.
The deadlines for
enrolment is
30/03/2018.
If you earn your Bachelor’s degree by September 2017, you are strongly encouraged to enrol within the
month of September, in order to be able to use all services from the beginning
of classes.
PLEASE NOTE that
this type of enrolment
cannot include any course belonging to a Master’s degree programme, as it
is intended for the remedial of unfulfilled academic requirements for the
admission to the programme itself.
Case 4 - on your Apply
personal page, under the section “Valutazioni”/”Evaluations”, you can see the
outcome of your admission application which has been rejected because you do
not have the required English language certificate (IELTS or one of the
certificates accepted in
substitution for IELTS).
In order to enrol you need to click on
“Procedi con l’iscrizione ai singoli insegnamenti”/”Enrol to single
courses” and select first-semester courses of the first year of the Master’s degree programme (these courses will
show by default); confirm the courses by using "Riepilogo e
conferma/Summary and confirmation" and finalize your enrolment from the section
"Valutazioni/Evaluations" within
3/11/2017.
After you obtain the English certificate, you will be
able to enrol in the Master’s degree programme:
- If you obtain the IELTS certificate through the
Language Centre of Politecnico (CLA), your career will be automatically updated
a few days after the publication of the IELTS results. After this, you will be
able to enrol in the Master’s degree programme before 31/03/2018 through your
personal page of the Teaching Portal (as a student enrolled in single courses):

- if you obtain the IELTS certificate (or one of
the certificates accepted in substitution for IELTS) outside Politecnico, you
must:
- go to the Office of Student services and show the original certificate
or else;
- log into Segreteria online/Apply@polito,
declare the type of certificate you have under the section called “Language knowledge”,
upload the scan of the original certificate to the “Attach” section, and wait
until the Office of Student Services approves your documents. If the certificate is accepted, you will be
able to enrol before 31/03/2018 through your Personal Page of the Teaching
Portal (as student enrolled in single courses) : Segreteria
online/Apply@polito/Valutazioni/“Procedi con l’immatricolazione a questo
corso”the/ “Enrol in this course”.
After enrolment, you must complete your Personal Study Plan/ Annual Personal Study
Plan within 10 day from enrolment.
Upon
enrolment,
you will be charged 350,11
EURO (fixed fee), regardless
of the type of enrolment you have chosen (part-time or full-time enrolment) :
- in case of
full-time enrolment: we suggest
that you read the Tuition Fee Guide for information about tuition fee reduction;
- in case of
part-time enrolment: we suggest that you wait until the
exams passed within the Winter Examination session are recorded, in order to exploit the yearly limit
of 40 credits. First-semester exams that
you will not pass will be counted as part of the 40-credit limit. You will not be charged for these course, as you
already paid them when you enrolled in Single courses.
If you do not manage to meet the language requirement before 30th
march 2018, you will not be allowed to enrol in a Master’s Degree programme for
a.y. 2017/18. Your enrolment in single courses (exclusively
first-semester courses which are already
in the APSP) will be valid for
the whole a.y 2017/18 until the end of the Autumn Examination Session.
