Course attendance and exams
Teaching activities at Politecnico are organized and delivered in two semesters. Full information on the organization of classes and other teaching activities is available in the Chronological calendar and Thematic calendar.
Please check the official timetable of courses, available on the page “Orari delle lezioni/Schedule of classes” under the section “Servizi per gli Studenti”/Student Services” of the Teaching Portal, where we will promptly communicate any changes in the schedule.   Course attendance is not compulsory but strongly recommended to all students.   You can take an exam for the first time only after you have added the corresponding course in your Annual Personal Study Plan (APSOP) and only after the course has actually been delivered, except for courses offered in video format (video lessons). The exam in this case can be taken during any examination session, no matter when the course  is delivered.
You are allowed to take an exam until the last academic year in which the corresponding course is offered. When a course is discontinued, you will be able to take the exam until the last examination session of the previous year (September). After this date, if you still have not passed the exam, you will have to substitute it in your APSP with a course that is still on the course catalogue, following the suggestions of the Collegio of your degree programme.
