If you are a first-year student, or if you are enrolled at Politecnico
for the first time, and you have not been exempted from obtaining the IELTS
certificate, you are required to take the
English level test. This test identifies
your initial language level so that you will be able to take part in the
learning activities which best suit your needs.
You are exempted from taking the English level test if you have
presented one of the following certificates during the online enrolment phase:
IELTS 4.5, Cambridge P.E.T. Pass, TOEFL ibt - score range: 52-61.
These certificates
identify your initial
language level but they do not exempt you from taking the IELTS exam.
You can find further information and the links to register for the
learning activities which best suit your level on your personal page of the
Teaching Portal – LINGUE tab.
The Language Centre (CLA)
offers a variety of
learning activities such as language courses, classroom
activities, tutorials and video lessons for all levels of English.
If you are a continuing student (i.e., you are enrolled in year 2 and beyond), and you
still have to take the English language exam, you can:
- participate in the activities offered by the Language
Centre (CLA)
- directly register to take the IELTS exam
In the first case, if you have not taken the English level test during
your first year nor you have been exempted from taking it (see section:
First-year students), you will have to take the English
level test. This test identifies
your initial language level so that you will be able to take part in the learning activities which best suit
your needs.
You can find further information and the links to register for the
learning activities which best suit your level on your personal page of the
