• If upon enrolment you declared that you already have an IELTS 5.0 certificate or any other certificate accepted in substitution for IELTS,  you will have to show the original certificate to the Office of the University Registrar when you complete the enrolment process (on the day of the smart card delivery). The Office of the University Registrar will make a copy of your certificate, return it back to you and recognize the English exam credits.    

In the event that your English language certificate is not accepted and the English exam credits are not recognized, please check the following section of the Student Guide: IELTS preparation

• If you take the IELTS exam at Politecnico and you pass it, the English exam credits will be automatically recognized. You do not need to take any further action.

• If you have an English language certificate obtained on your own outside Politecnico, it is necessary to distinguish between two cases: 

1. If you have an IELTS 5.0 certificate or any other certificate included in the list of Certificates accepted or exemptions in substitution for IELTS at Politecnico di Torino as of a.y. 2017/18, you need to show the original certificate to the Office of Student Services. The Office will make a copy of your certificate, return it back to you and recognize the English exam credits.    
2. If you have an English language certificate which is NOT included  in the list of Certificates accepted or exemptions in substitution for IELTS at Politecnico di Torino as of a.y. 2017/18, you need to contact  the Office of Student Services which will ask the Language Centre to make an evaluation of your certificate. If your certificate is accepted, the Office of Student Services will recognize the English exam credits.
