The Board of Directors of Politecnico di Torino decided to renew the Package of Mobility and Cultural Initiatives for the a.y. 2019/2020. Thanks to this package students enrolled full-time in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree programme and PhD candidates will benefit from discounted prices on their travel ticket, bike-sharing subscription and Museum pass.
Here you can find all the information about each initiative together with requirements, modalities and deadlines that you must meet in order to benefit from the Package. Failure to respect the following provisions will result in the exclusion from the benefits.
REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO ACCESS THE PACKAGE OF MOBILITY AND CULTURAL INITIATIVES
Full-time enrolment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree programme or PhD;
Enrolment up to the 4th time for Bachelor’s students; up to the 3rd time for Master’s students; up to the 3rd time for PhD candidates;
Having obtained the following number of credits between 10th august 2018 and 10th august 2019:
First-year students of Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programmes | 0 CFU |
Second-year students of Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programmes | 10 CFU |
Third and fourth-year students of Bachelor’s degree programmes, third-year students of Master’s degree programmes | 25 CFU |
Phd candidates | 0 CFU |
TRAVEL-TICKET AND BIKE-SHARING REFUNDS
Students enrolled in Bachelor’s or Master’s degree programme can receive a maximum refundable sum for their travel ticket and/or bike-sharing subscription. This maximum refundable sum changes according to Politecnico contribution level assigned for a.y. 2019/2020, according to the following table:

For PhD candidates the maximum refundable sum is €150, regardless of their economic level.
The maximum refundable sum is one for both the travel ticket and the bike-sharing subscription.
If the cost of the ticket/subscription is lower than or equal to the maximum possible refund, the cost of the ticket will be fully reimbursed; if the cost of the ticket/subscription exceeds the maximum possible refund, only the maximum amount will be reimbursed.To calculate your maximum refundable sum it will be taken in consideration your contribution level on 20th December 2019. If you are going to apply for tuition fee reduction for the a.y. 2019/2020 you have to complete the tuition fee reduction application before 20th December 2019.
Please note students who cannot apply for tuition fee reduction because they have a special economic treatment (i.e. students with disability, students who receive a scholarship from an external organization etc..) will have to send their valid ISEE/ISEE Parificato to the office Tuition Fees by using the Ticketing service. All documents must be sent upon requesting the refunds, otherwise the maximum refundable sum will be of €50.
WHICH TICKETS AND SUBSCRIPTIONS ARE REFUNDED
The travel ticket can be refunded if:
You bought it before 20th December 2019;
It is valid from 1st September 2019 onwards;
The duration is between 10 and 12 months. You cannot receive a refund of a weekly or monthly ticket.

The bike-sharing subscription can be refunded if:
You bought it between 1st july 2019 and 20th December 2019; if you bought it before 1st September, the subscription must be valid for at least 90 days on 1st September 2019.
It lasts at least 90 days.
HOW TO REQUEST THE TRAVEL-TICKET/BIKE-SHARING REFUND
You have to request the refunds of your travel-ticket and/or bike-sharing subscription through the procedure available on your personal page from 1st September 2019. If you want to receive the refund for both the travel ticket and bike-sharing subscription, you will have to send two separate requests.
The deadline to complete the online request procedure is 20th December 2019.
To complete the online procedure you have to attach the purchase receipt which must contain the following information:
Your name and surname OR the serial number of the card where the ticket/subscription is loaded; in this case you have to attach also a scanned copy of your card;
Date of purchase
Duration of the ticket/subscription;
You will receive the refund after verifying your purchase receipt. If your purchase receipt is unreadable, incomplete or referred to a type of ticket/subscription that doesn’t meet the requirements listed above, you will not receive the refund.
After sending the online request you will receive a confirmation e-mail on your institutional e-mail account. If you don’t receive the e-mail you must contact the office Tuition Fees before 20th December 2019 in order to check if your request was successfully completed.
HOW AND WHEN YOU WILL RECEIVE THE REFUNDS
You will receive the refund of your travel ticket and bike-sharing subscription according to the Payment Modality that you indicated on your personal page.
Refunds will be processed from January 2020. You will see the corresponding credit and debt amounts on your personal page, portlet Tuition fee payment.
Please remember that the maximum amount refundable is only one for both the travel ticket and the bike-sharing subscription.
MUSEUM PASS
If you meet the requirements listed above you can request the activation of the Museum Pass with Politecnico di Torino. You will have to pay a minimum contribution of 8€ on a cost-sharing basis.
During January 2020 the Museum Association will send you by e-mail a code to activate your Museum Pass. The activation can be completed by downloading the app of the Museum Pass or by loading your pass on a card (NOT Politecnico smart-card), following the information in the e-mail.

HOW TO REQUEST THE ACTIVATION OF THE MUSEUM PASS WITH POLITECNICO
Requests must be sent through the online procedure available on the Teaching Portal from 1st September 2019 to 20th December 2019. To send the request you will have to pay the contribution of €8 by choosing one of the payment modalities available.
After completing the online procedure you will receive a confirmation e-mail on your institutional account. If you don’t receive the e-mail you must contact the office Tuition Fees before 20th December 2019 in order to check if your request was successfully completed.
Politecnico will send to the Museum Association the list of the students who requested the activation of the Museum Pass. Later on, the Museum Association will send to the students the codes to activate the Museum Pass.
