PACKAGE OF MOBILITY AND CULTURAL INITIATIVES – a.y. 2020/2021

The Board of Directors of Politecnico di Torino decided to renew the Package of Mobility and Cultural Initiatives for the a.y. 2020/2021. Thanks to this package students enrolled full-time in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree programme and PhD candidates will benefit from discounted prices on their travel ticket, bike-sharing subscription and Museum pass.

Here you can find all the information about each initiative together with requirements, modalities and deadlines that you must meet in order to benefit from the Package. Failure to respect the following provisions will result in the exclusion from the benefits.

HOW TO ACCESS THE PACKAGE OF MOBILITY AND CULTURAL INITIATIVES

If you meet the requirements stated in the following paragraph to access the Package, you find the online procedure to send on your personal page, Online Services.

Students enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree programme can access the online procedure starting from 12th October 2020. The procedure to request the Museum Pass/Fablab Student membership card for students enrolled in a Master’s degree or in a Phd programme is open from 24th December 2020 to 29th January 2021: further information are available at the page “NEWS” that you find on the left menu.

The deadline to request the travel-ticket refund is 21st december 2020 for all students. The deadline to request the Museum Pass is 21st December 2020 for Bachelor's students.

REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO ACCESS THE PACKAGE OF MOBILITY AND CULTURAL INITIATIVES

  • Full-time enrolment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree programme or PhD;
  • Registration of the following number of credits between 10th august 2019 and 10th august 2020:

 

First-year students of Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programmes

0 CFU

Second-year students of Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programme

10 CFU

Students enrolled beyond the second time in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree programme

25 CFU

Phd candidates

0 CFU

 

TRAVEL-TICKET AND BIKE-SHARING REFUNDS

  • Students enrolled in Bachelor’s or Master’s degree programme can receive a maximum refundable sum for their travel ticket and/or bike-sharing subscription. This maximum refundable sum changes according to Politecnico contribution level assigned for a.y. 2020/2021, according to the following table:

  • For PhD candidates the maximum refundable sum is €150, regardless of their economic level.

The maximum refundable sum is one for both the travel ticket and the bike-sharing subscription. If the cost of the ticket/subscription is lower than or equal to the maximum possible refund, the cost of the ticket will be fully reimbursed; if the cost of the ticket/subscription exceeds the maximum possible refund, only the maximum amount will be reimbursed.

  • To calculate your maximum refundable sum it will be taken in consideration your contribution level on 21ST December 2020. If you are going to apply for tuition fee reduction for the a.y. 2020/2021 you have to complete the tuition fee reduction application before 21ST December 2020.

Please note: students who cannot apply for tuition fee reduction because they have a special economic treatment (i.e. students with disability, students who receive a scholarship from an external organization etc..) will have to send their valid ISEE/ISEE Parificato to the office Tuition Fees by using the Ticketing service. All documents must be sent upon requesting the refunds, otherwise the maximum refundable sum will be of €50.

WHICH TICKETS AND SUBSCRIPTIONS ARE REFUNDED

The travel ticket can be refunded if:

  • You bought it before 21st December 2020;
  • It is valid from 1st August 2020 onwards;
  • The duration is between 10 and 12 months. You cannot receive a refund of a weekly or monthly ticket.

The bike-sharing subscription can be refunded if:

  • You bought it between 1st August 2020 and 21st December 2020; if you bought it before 1st August, the subscription must be valid for at least 90 days on 1st August 2020.
  • It lasts at least 90 days.

HOW TO REQUEST THE TRAVEL-TICKET/BIKE-SHARING REFUND

To complete the online procedure you have to attach the following documents:

  • Purchase receipt of your travel ticket reporting the following information: your name and surname OR the number of the card where the ticket is loaded; cost of the ticket; date of purchase; duration of the ticket.
  • Scanned copy of the card where the ticket is loaded (both sides).

After completing the online request you will receive a confirmation e-mail on your institutional account. If you don’t receive the e-mail you have to contact the office Tuition Fees before the deadline of 21st December 2020 to check if your request was successfully completed.

You will receive the refund after verifying your purchase receipt. If your purchase receipt is unreadable, incomplete or referred to a type of ticket/subscription that doesn’t meet the requirements listed above, you will not receive the refund.

HOW AND WHEN YOU WILL RECEIVE THE REFUNDS

You will receive the refund of your travel ticket and bike-sharing subscription according to the Payment Modality that you indicated on your personal page.

Refunds will be processed from January 2021. You will see the corresponding credit and debt amounts on your personal page, portlet Tuition fee payment.

Please remember that the maximum amount refundable is only one for both the travel ticket and the bike-sharing subscription.

MUSEUM PASS

If you meet the requirements listed above you can request the activation of the Museum Pass with Politecnico di Torino. You will have to pay a minimum contribution of 11€ on a cost-sharing basis.

The Museum Association will send you by e-mail a code to activate your Museum Pass. For further information about the Museum Pass you can check the following link: https://piemonte.abbonamentomusei.it/Abbonamento-Musei-e-Politecnico-di-Torino.

HOW TO REQUEST THE ACTIVATION OF THE MUSEUM PASS WITH POLITECNICO

To send the request you have to make the payment of 11€ using one of the payment modalities available on the online procedure.

Students enrolled for the first time in a Bachelor’s degree programme during the a.y. 2020/2021 who request the Museum Pass before 26th October 2020 can activate it from November 2020. All the other students will activate the Museum Pass from February 2021.

After completing the online procedure you will receive a confirmation e-mail on your institutional account. If you don’t receive the e-mail you must contact the office Tuition Fees before the deadline in order to check if your request was successfully completed.

 

FABLAB

Master’s students and Phd candidates can choose to activate the Fablab student membership card instead of the Museum Pass.

HOW TO REQUEST FABLAB STUDENT MEMBERSHIP CARD

To complete the request you have to make a payment of 11€ by selecting one of the payment modalities available in the Student Passes online procedure.

If you complete the request correctly, you will receive a confirmation e-mail on your institutional account with the information about how to activate the membership card.
