The participation of dedicated staff, who
will develop highly specialized know-how through the Additive
Manufacturing Master’s program, represents an investment in skills designed to
explore how additive technology could be applied to existing Comau
operations.
In particular, the analysis will be focused
on how this innovation can be applied to developing the
devices and products Comau produces, starting from Design and
Modelling activities; what product design and process engineering skills
will be required to make the most of its potential and the
potential advantages of Additive Manufacturing, compared to conventional
techniques, in terms of flexibility, production volumes, timing and costs.
Hiring Opportunity
This
is a demanding role for a graduated mechanical engineer, who will be
responsible for introducing and developing a new design process within
Engineering – design engineering - for
applying the additive manufacturing technology in the products.
The Additive Manufacturing Engineer will have
the following tasks:
Key Duties and Responsibilities
To analyze the actual Design Processes of the Comau products within:
o
Mechanical Engineering
o
FEA Calculation
·
To interact with Manufacturing Engineering for the as is Manufacturing
processes of the Comau products.
·
To analyze with Manufacturing Engineering which products would be
beneficial to be designed and produced with Additive Manufacturing Technology
in order to improve:
- Material waste
- Energy Saving
- Costs
- Lead Time
To define what is the new Design process to be applied for the selected
products to be made with Additive Manufacturing Technology.
To drive Mechanical Designers and FEA Calculation Specialists in
developing the Design of the new selected products.
Essential Skills/Abilities
- Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Good working knowledge of CAE programs especially Catia.
- Knowledge of FEA Calculation process and tools
- Proficient in English
Desired Skills/Abilities
- Knowledge of tooling Design
- Ability to coordinate other engineers/designers
- Good organizational and planning skills; ability to delegate tasks
and reassign work as required
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Good interpersonal skills
Selection processAll the applications received will be
analyzed and evaluated by Comau.
After a pre-screening of the CVs, Comau
will contact the candidates who will respond to the internal criteria of
selection.
Selected candidates will be assessed in two
steps during one day:
the first step is a group test that
consists in discussing two case studies.
During the second step, candidates will be
required to complete individual test and questionnaires.
At the end of the day, each candidate will
have an individual meeting with an assessor in order to review the assessment activities
and to further boost personal and professional motivation.
