IRIS SRL specialises in innovative applications of plasma and laser technologies, including Additive Manufacturing. IRIS recognises this technology’s potential and it is involved in two major European projects that will develop highly efficient AM equipment delivering low production costs and high productivity for large working volumes and multi-material applications, targeting specifically the avionics and medtech sectors. IRIS is a start up currently employing four members of staff but expanding to follow the new business development line.

Hiring opportunity
IRIS SRL is seeking a process specialist who will follow at least one of the two international research projects the Company is involved in. He/she will be tasked with the process development, characterisation and validation, to define and implement the strategy for the optimisation of costs and consumption. Furthermore, the apprentice will be in charge of reporting and dissemination of the work undertaken. The apprentice will report directly to Manuel Lai, IRIS CEO and will be based both at IRIS ‘s offices and labs, and will attend, if required, project meetings and visits at European partners’ premises.

Selection process
The selection process will be made through a screening of the received curricula and through an interview with a selection of the most suitable candidates. To the interview, that will be held in the branch in Corso Unione Sovietica 612/21, Torino, will take part the owner and, possibly, IRIS managing agents.
During the interview, the candidate will have to demonstrate a full fluency in written and spoken English. A second interview with the most promising candidate could be required for the final selection.
