Who can attend
The Specializing Masters programme is intended for Italian and foreign citizens - aged not older than 27 years on December 31st, 2017 - who graduated from:

Italian Universities
Master of Science degree obtained in one of the following degree classes ("classi di laurea"):

non-Italian Universities
Master of Science degree* (or equivalent or higher academic qualification) obtained in one of the following areas of study with at least 5 years of university education
  • Aerospace and Astronautical Engineering (LM 20)
  • Chemical Engineering (LM 22)
  • Civil Engineering (LM 23)
  • Energy and Nuclear Engineering (LM 30)
  • Mechanical Engineering (LM 33)
  • Environmental Engineering (LM 35)
  • Mathematical-Physics Modelling for Engineering (LM 44)
  • Naval Engineering (LM 34) 
  • Materials Science and Engineering (LM 53)
  • Geophysical Sciences (LM 79)
  • Geological Sciences and Technologies (LM 74)
  • Physics (LM 17)

* To be admitted to the Specializing Masters programme, candidates who have a 4-year Bachelor’s degree must also possess a Master’s degree obtained within the deadline indicated below.


Candidates who have graduated from 
Italian Universities

Candidates who have graduated from 
foreign Universities
  • Master’s degree minimum final grade: 100/110 (or equivalent)

  • Certified knowledge of English language: as described in the language knowledge section

  • Italian citizens: Master’s degree (or equivalent) obtained by July 31st, 2017

  • non-Italian citizens: Master’s degree (or equivalent) obtained by May 8th, 2017


  • Master’s degree (or equivalent) minimum final grade: the final grade must be included among the top 20% of the best students who graduated in the same academic year and in the same degree programme

  • Certified knowledge of English language: as described in the language knowledge section

  • Italian citizens: Master’s degree (or equivalent) obtained by July 31st, 2017

  • non-Italian citizens: Master’s degree (or equivalent) obtained by May 8th, 2017
