Sport psychology
The course aims to discuss the knowledge about the Sport Psychology and the Sport Development 

During the course the following topics will be discussed:

Part A – Sport Psychology (30 hours): This part of the course is structured in order to provide partecipants with the basic abilities of sport psychology and Human Performance. This discipline concerns the study of the mental skills of top performance, both in terms of analysis and optimization.
The aim of this discipline is to work on the cognitive dimensions of the performer, to enable subjects to realize the correspondance between their potential and their actual performance. The model of human performance SFERA will be introduced, largely applied to atheletes and staff in National Olimpic Commitee and in the most important sport events, such as World Championship and Olimpic games. Case studies will be discussed togheter with the main rules of effective comunication. Reference will be made to the most recent studies in the field of sport and management. The course will in part consist of theoretical lessons and in part of role-playing.

Part B – Sport Development (10 hours): This part of the course analyzes the sport development with particular regard to the economics of the professional sports industry. The main topics are the institutional role of teams, leagues and public bodies; the structure of the market and the design of sport events, including antitrust issues, public funding of sports venues, labor relations, player drafts and athlete compensation.
