Student guide 2015 - 2016 (ord. D.M. 270/04) | Taking FINAL BSc EXAM and deadlines

The Bachelor of Science can be earned through the acquisition of 180 formative credits. The final exam consists of a draft of a paper and no oral defence is necessary (except for Design and Planning courses).

The Course Study Plan (top right of this page) reports all the information on how to carry out the final exam in the section “Final exam”. Moreover, the competent didactic structures can publish further information on the “Notice Board” section of each study course.

The procedure to submit the admission request to the final exam is entirely on-line. For further details on the steps of the procedure please see the section “Final Exam” in the On-line Registrar’s Office.

Final Exam Evaluation

The final grade is set by the degree board, which will examine the overall score of the exams on 110. The Degree Board will be able to add to this score up to 5 points considering:

The evaluation of the paper;
The duration of the course of studies;
Various information on the student’s career: number of exams passed with distinction, studies abroad, possible extracurricular activities etc.

The award of a degree with honours is subject to the discretion to the board by a qualified majority (2/3 of the board members).

⁽³⁾Within the submission to the final project exam deadline you need to get and to have registered in your career the IELTS 5.0 certification or an equivalent one (https://didattica.polito.it/cla/en/certificates/). Remember that without this certification the submission to the graduation session won’t be possible.

IELTS session which grants the delivery of results in order to submit to the graduation session in time is:

5^th December 2015 for February graduation session
21^st May 2016 for July graduation session
9^th July 2016 for October graduation session
22^nd October 2016 for December graduation session
