Formative lacks and update of study load
Students who, at the end of the first year, have not passed among the basic subjects (Mathematical Analysis I, Chemistry, Computer science, Physics I and Geometry) the fixed number of credits for each degree course (28 credits), will be considered “deficient”.

Full-time students
Compiling the study load, “deficient” students enrolled full-time can insert only the exams which they lack and the “Free ECTS credits First year” if not attended in the previous year. Nonetheless it will be possible to insert new courses (marked as “overbooking”): students will actually be able to insert courses from both semesters but these courses will not be part of the study load right away. If during the exam session in September students will pass the exams and/or reach the minimum amount of credits required (i.e. they will not be considered “deficient” anymore), the courses in overbooking will enter the study load, in the order in which they were inserted, respecting the 80 credits limit. If during the exam session in January/February students still “deficient” will pass the courses and/or reach the minimum amount of credits required (i.e. they will not be considered “deficient” anymore), new courses from the first semester will be deleted, while those from second semester will enter the study load, subject to precedency rules.

Part-time students
“Deficient” students enrolled part-time can insert in their study load only courses from the first year. If by the exam session in February students will stop being considered “deficient”, they will be able to add to their study load other courses from second semester, within the limit of the maximum amount of credits acquirable in one academic year, or they will be able to ask the conversion of their study load from part-time to full-time by Friday, March 11th 2016.
