Students enrolled at Politecnico who intend to
continue their I or II level studies at another University or Institute of
Higher Education must contact the University of destination in advance in order to learn about requirements (admission test), procedures and deadlines for the transfer
application.
If you are going to transfer out to a capped degree
programme (i.e., restricted to a fixed number of students) you need the
Transfer Clearance Form (nulla osta) of the University of destination. You can request it to the Student Office of
the University you intend to transfer to.
If you have transferred out and later return to Politecnico
without having advanced in your studies, you will be reinserted into your
previous academic career.
After you request a transfer out, you are not allowed to participate in any
academic activity, nor to use any kind of service. In particular, as of the date
you submit your transfer application, you cannot take any exam.
How to request a transfer out:
Once you have verified that you meet the admission
requirements of the new university, you must show the following documents to the
Office of the University Registrar (at Cittadella Politecnica, ground floor):
- the Transfer Out Application Form (Modulo Congedo), duly filled in and addressed to the Rector, provided with a revenue
stamp. In this form you have to precisely indicate the University of
destination, the name of the degree programme and the class to which the
new programme belongs.
- payment receipt of 50,00 Euro, corresponding to
the fixed fee for transfer out to another University.
You must also remember that:
- You must not define your Annual Personal Study
Plan for the new academic year;
- You must have paid all tuition and fees owed to
Politecnico;
- You must verify that all the exams you have
passed at Politecnico have been registered;
- You must check that your personal details
recorded in the system are updated;
- You cannot return to Politecnico in the course of
the same academic year, except for justified serious reasons.
