Unfulfilled academic requirements and APSP update

If you are a first-year student of any Bachelor’s degree programme of the Engineering area, and you haven’t passed Mathematical Analysis I by the end of your first semester, you will have to take the remedial course during your second semester, instead of taking your Optional course.

In order to be able to update the Annual Personal Study Plan with new courses, all students, regardless of the fact that they have passed Mathematical Analysis I or not, must reach the 28-credit minimum threshold in the core subjects by the end of the fall examination session (September).

All first-year courses (Mathematical Analysis I, Chemistry, Computer Science, Physics I and Geometry), excluding English Language and the Optional course, are considered to be core subjects.

If you are a student with “unfulfilled academic requirements” and you manage to reach the 28-credir threshold in your core subjects by the end of winter examination session, you will be able to attend your second-semester courses of your second year, provided that all the pre-requisites are respected. If you had prepared your APSP correctly at the beginning of the academic year, there will be an automatic update and your second-semester courses will be automatically added to your APSP.

Therefore, if you are a part-time student, you can request the conversion of your part-time APSP into full-time by 16th March 2018.

Moreover, if you passed Mathematical Analysis I, Mathematical Analysis II will be added to your APSP at the end of the winter examination session. If you passed Physics I and if you have earned at least 40 credits globally, Physics II will be added to your APSP, in compliance with the APSP maximum credit limit.

After your APSP update, you will be able watch the video lessons of both courses. On top of that, you will have the possibility to attend a Mathematical Analysis II specific tutoring course conducted by part-time students.
You will receive the information and deadlines for the integration of your APSP by e-mail.

Updating your APSP for an Internal Transfer

If you are a student with “unfulfilled academic requirements” and you manage to reach the 28-credit threshold in your core subjects by the end of the winter examination session of your second year, and if you are interested in transferring to another Bachelor’s degree programme for the next academic year, you can add to your APSP the second-semester courses belonging to your new degree programme (as long as you comply with the pre-requisites and with the APSP maximum credit limit). You  have the obligation to add Mathematical Analysis II and Physics II to your APSP, provided that you meet the above mentioned requirements.
If you intend to make an internal transfer to the Bachelor’s degree programme in Industrial Production Engineering, you can add some third-year courses to your APSP. In fact you will attend your second year at the partner University, where you can go only during the academic year which follows the internal transfer.

We remind that during this academic year you remain officially enrolled in your current Bachelor’s degree programme. Your internal transfer application must be submitted at the beginning of the new academic year.

Updating your  APSP after an Internal Transfer

We inform you that you will be allowed to add courses belonging to years following the first only if you have earned 28 credits in the core subjects (Mathematical Analysis I, Chemistry, Computer Science, Physics I and Geometry) or if you have earned at least 40 credits in your degree programme of origin (excluding the English exam).
