Also for the 2021/22 a.y., The Board of Directors of Politecnico di Torino decided to renew the initiatives for the promotion of student culture and obility. Thanks to this initiatives students enrolled full-time in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree course and PhD candidates will benefit from discounted prices on their travel ticket, bike-sharing subscription, Museum pass and Fablab student membership card.
Here you can find all the information about each initiative together with requirements, modalities and deadlines that you must meet in order to benefit from the Package. Failure to respect the following provisions will result in the exclusion from the benefits.
- Full-time enrolment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree programme or PhD;
- Registration of the following number of credits between 10th August 2020 and 10th August 2021:

PLEASE MIND: since the deadlines of the Museum Passes activated during 2020/21 a.y. were postponed, only those students who did not activate the Museum Pass during 2020/21 will be able to request the Museum Pass activation during 2021/22. Students who still have a valid Museum Pass will still be able to request Fablab Student Membership card.
If you meet the requirements stated in the following paragraph, you find the online request procedure on your personal page, Online Services. Please mind that the online procedure is activated only on the personal page of those students who meet the requirements: if you don’t find the online procedure after 1st September 2021, please check carefully to satisfy all the above-mentioned requirements.
The online procedure will be activated starting from September 2021. The deadline to send the requests is 21st December 2021.
- Students enrolled in Bachelor’s or Master’s degree programme will have their refund calculated on a cost-sharing basis, according to a percentage that depends on the student’s contribution level on the deadline indicated for the online request (21st December 2021), as shown in the table below. The percentage is applied to the cost indicated on the purchase receipt and up to a maximum of:
- 208€ for students assigned to the contribution level 1-39;
- 258€ for students assigned to the contribution level 40-75.
If you apply for both the travel-ticket and the bike-sharing refunds, the percentage will be applied to the total sum of these two values, within the above-mentioned limits.

- Refund calculated for a student assigned to the contribution level 1: 202,8€ (à 97,8% of 208€)
- Refund calculated for a student assigned to the contribution level 32: 72,8€ (à 35% of 208€)
- Refund calculated for a student assigned to the contribution level 50: 25,8€ (à 10% of 208€)
PLEASE MIND: students who cannot apply for tuition fee reduction because they have a special economic treatment according to the Tuition Fee Guide 2021/22 (i.e. students with disability, students who receive a scholarship from an external organization etc..) will have to send their valid ISEE/ISEE Parificato to the office Tuition Fees by Ticket before the deadline of 21st December 2021. Otherwise the refund will be calculated according to the contribution level 75.
- For PhD candidates the maximum refundable sum is €125.
- Which tickets and subscriptions are refunded
The travel ticket can be refunded if:
- You bought it before 21st December 2021;
- It is valid from 1st July 2021 onwards;
- The duration is between 10 and 12 months. You cannot receive a refund of a weekly or monthly ticket.
The bike-sharing subscription can be refunded if:
- You bought it between 1st July 2021 and 21st December 2021; if you bought it before 1st July, the subscription must be valid for at least 90 days on 1st July 2021.
- It lasts at least 90 days.
- How to request the travel-ticket/bike-sharing refund
To complete the online procedure, you have to attach the following documents:
- Purchase receipt of your travel-ticket reporting the following information: your name and surname, the number of the card where the ticket is loaded, the cost of the ticket; purchase date; ticket duration.
- Scanned copy of the card where the ticket is loaded (both sides).
If you have a GTT ticket you will have to indicate the type of card where your ticket has been activated and the card’s number.
After completing the online request, you will receive a confirmation e-mail on your institutional account. If you don’t receive the e-mail you have to contact the office Tuition Fees before the deadline of 21st December 2021 to check if your request was successfully completed.
You will receive the refund after verifying your purchase receipt. If your purchase receipt is unreadable, incomplete or referred to a type of ticket/subscription that doesn’t meet the requirements listed above, you will not receive the refund.
- How and when you will receive the refunds
You will receive the refund of your travel ticket and bike-sharing subscription according to the payment modality that you indicated on your personal page (Teaching Portal – Online Services – Tuition Fees and Payments - Choose your payment method to receive refunds from Politecnico).
Refunds will be processed from the second half of January 2022. You will see the corresponding credit and debit amounts on your personal page, portlet Tuition fee payment.
Please remember that the maximum amount refundable is only one for both the travel ticket and the bike-sharing subscription.
If you meet the requirements listed above you can request the activation of the Museum Pass with Politecnico di Torino as an alternative to Fablab Student Membership card. You will have to pay a minimum contribution of 11€ on a cost-sharing basis.

To complete the request you have to make a payment of 11€ by selecting one of the payment modalities available in the online procedure.
After completing all the steps of the online request you will receive a confirmation e-mail on your institutional e-mail account. If you don’t receive the confirmation e-mail you have to contact the office Tuition Fees with the Ticketing service in order to check the correct completion of your request.
