The Statute and University rules state students delegates to be part of the government bodys. 
Students can refer to them for suggestions and requests towards Politecnico. 
Their role is fundamental for involving students in Politecnico life, even through active participation in discussing basic matters.  Positive results have been reached in the past thanks to student delegation involvement, and that should encourage students to believe in their ideas communicating them to the represantives who will make themselves heard.    
 
Every two years elections are issued. The last election happened in December 2012.  
 
Student delegation is part of: 

• Board of Governors – 2 delegates
• Academic Senate – 5 delegates, one of them has to be enrolled on PhD;
• Professors and Students Joint Committee/CPD – 11 delegates, one for each department.Student delegation are also in Department Councils and Study Courses Commissions.  Politecnico student can also elect a delegate for the EDISU Board of Directors. In this Board there are also two delegates from University of Torino and one delegate form Oriental Piedmont University.
