Master of Science students
All students, graduated from Politecnico or from other Athenaeums, admitted to Master of Science courses hold in Italian who do not have the English Language Certificate required by Politecnico di Torino (IELTS 5.0 or equivalent or superior) will have to acquire it before the Thesis Request as it is considered a “graduation requirement”.
Starting from a.y. 2014/2015 the possession of the IELTS 5.0 or equivalent or superior is required in order to be admitted to a Master of science course hold in English, as considered “admission requirement”, except for the Master of Science course of Automotive Engineering, for which the possession of IELTS 5.5 is required: therefore, without this certificate enrolment will not be possible
The equivalence among certifications has been established by CLA (Centro Linguistico di Ateneo, Athenaeum Language Centre) is published on the CLA website.

NOTICE
Without the English certificate at the moment of the online admission request it will be possible to attach it afterwards:
  • At the latest on September 25th to enroll at the 1st semester;
  • At the latest on March 31st to enroll at the 2nd semester.
Provided that, as already mentioned, the English language certifications considered equivalent are published on the CLA website, other equivalence criteria are the following:
  • Attendance not inferior to one scholastic year at a High School in English that releases a certification stating “The medium of instruction is English”;
  • Possession of an educational qualification recognised by the Ministry of Education, University and Research as equivalent to the high school diploma obtained at a High School in English that releases a certification stating “The medium of instruction is English”.
  • Possession of a Bachelor degree from a University whose courses are hold in English stating that “The medium of instruction is English”.
