Lucia Tsantilis works at the Department of Environment, Land and Infrastructure Engineering of Politecnico di Torino. Her research interests primarily lie in sustainability of transport infrastructures, with special emphasis on the assessment of the environmental impacts of pavements, on development of high-performance and eco-friendly materials containing additives derived from wastes and recycling processes, on rheology of both bituminous and non-petroleum-based binders, and on self-healing properties of construction materials. She is an active member of several international technical committees dealing with aspects related to crack healing, phase and interphase behaviour, and chemo-mechanical characterization of construction materials used in transport infrastructure systems.
In the 2nd level Specializing Master's programme in Climate Change: adaptation and mitigation solutions he will lecture Resilient Infrastructure Systems in the course Climate change adaptation.
