Master's degree programmes 2019 - 2020
(students with italian degree)
Language Requirements
Admissions  A.Y. 2019/2020
English language certificateYou are required to have an English language certificate (B2 level) according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages: Learning, Teaching, Assessment (CEFR).During a transitional period, in order to assess their knowledge of English (B2 level), Politecnico di Torino takes into consideration the following table of certificates accepted in substitution of IELTS 5.0.
Please note that the Master’s degree programme in Automotive Engineering - Ingegneria dell’Autoveicolo requires an IELTS 5.5 certificate or other certificate accepted in substitution for IELTS 5.5.

Politecnico needs to verify the results of your certificate. If you have an IELTS or Cambridge certificate, you do not need to upload a scanned copy  of your certificate since the system will ask you to enter the codes for an automatic verification.
If you have an  English certificate other than IELTS or Cambridge you must upload a scanned copy of your certificate and show your original (hard copy) to the Office of Student Services on the day of the appointment for the delivery of your smart card.
Admission decisions are not based on the date of the langue certificate but only on the applicant’s language level.
If you do not meet the language requirements by the deadline for enrolment from the first semester (i.e., you do not have an IELTS certificate or other certificate accepted in substitution for IELTS), you can decide to enrol in single courses. In this case you should choose to enrol in the first-semester courses of the first year of the Master’s degree programme for which you have been “denied admission”.
As soon as you obtain your English language certificate, you will be able to enrol in your chosen Master’s degree programme (in first semester of a.y. 2019/2020). The courses you have already attended will be automatically validated.
More information is available in the Student Guide 2019/2020 of your programme - "Single courses enrolment" section.
If you do not manage to get your English language certificate before  31st March 2020, you will not be allowed to enrol in your chosen Master’s degree programme for a.y. 2019/20. Your enrolment in single courses (exclusively first-semester courses which are already  included in your APSP) will remain valid for a.y. 2019/20 until the end of the autumn examination session.
If you did not enrol in single courses for unfulfilled language requirements before the deadline and you do not obtain your language certificate by 31st March 2020 (but you applied for admission to a Master’s degree programme on the Apply@polito platform), you will NOT be able to enrol in single courses for “open competitive exams, professional updating and requalification” and you will not be able to choose the Master’s courses belonging to the programme for which you applied.
