General InfoThis campus has been issued in 2005 with the support of the Ministry of Education of the People' s Republic of China and the Ministry of Education, University and Research of the Republic of Italy. Financed by the Ministry and then by San Paolo Company, it develops a joint project in institutions of higher learning of the two countries. Access criteria are extremely selective. The first objective is to create a new ruling class familiar with the cultures of both countries. The campus, operating from 2006, involves joint study plans, coordinated by a commission of Italian and Chinese professors.
The engineering Politong project partners are Politecnico di Torino, Politecnico di Milano and Tongji of Shanghai, where classes have to be attended.
A peculiarity of the Campus is the bond among students from the two countries. In Politecnico di Torino, this project has been attended by 136 Chinese students and 82 Italian students.
Study coursesPolitong project is directed to students enrolled on Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering.
Admission requirementsAdmission requirements will be illustrated during the project presentation meetings, usually taking place in December/January. The dates will be communicated to students on their personal institutional e-mail.
