The course highlights the
potentiality of an artistic property asset through the knowledge of protecting
and increasing the artistic existing asset value, on the one hand, and the
reduction and control of risks in the choice of investment activities, on the
other.
The students will also get familiar with the management
and analysis of the artistic heritage and with the related services such as
buying and selling, taxation of art, artistic movement of goods in national and
international level, consulting "logistics" (restoration,
transportation, insurance). In addition to this content, there will be a seminar
on
Art Advisor Culture to promote knowledge and
awareness of the languages of art, highlighting the role of the art consultant
from the 1950s to the 2010s. The Art counsultant is a crucial mediator who
supports the collector or the cultural institution in the choice of the works
of art. The seminar will focus on the adjustments over time that the art consultant
went through, due to the changes of a globalized culture in a society
significantly influenced by the market.
